On Saturday, June 14th, we're throwing a massive party to mark an incredible milestone – 30 years of Tex Mex! What started on Tower Road in 1995 has now become a legendary nightlife destination in Paceville, all under the watchful eye of Marco Mucat.
Tex Mex first opened its doors in 1995 on Tower Road, Sliema, when Malta's dining scene was limited to continental, Chinese, and traditional fish restaurants. With its American cuisine featuring a twist of Mexican flavors and a touch of Mediterranean flair, Tex Mex revolutionized local dining.
Founded by Marco Muscat, Tex Mex quickly became a household name, a landmark on Tower Road until 2011. After moving to the Strand in Sliema, its journey continued, adapting to the evolving nightlife and dining scene. Today, Tex Mex thrives in the heart of St. Julian's, Malta's entertainment hub.
